Multi-pitch climbing

Multi-pitch is about getting up cliffs or mountains that are taller than the lenth of your rope. Large walls pose greater demands on routine, speed, cooperation and judgement. But with the proper training exciting opportunities open up in Norway, the Alps, and farther away.

The multi Pitch course includes the Swedish Federation's course in advance climbing , but goes one step further. Here you will learn a set of techniques that will help you enjoy the fantastic experience of climbing long routes. You will learn, among other things:

Fast, efficient anchors
Long abseils
Double rope technique
Protecting a traverse
Route-finding
Moving together
Alpine belay techniques
Risk evaluation on larger rocks (weather, rock types, etc)
Improvised equipment and problem solving

Prerequisites: Lead grade 4 with traditional pro
Time: 4 days
